Three women of a certain age met in Athens and struck up a friendship. Later, drinking scotch at a little bar in Kassel it occurred to Pepe and Fernando to offer them a show in Mexico City. They agreed and thus began a year-long correspondence. They communicated via images and notes, and sometimes sent professions of love in the middle of the night: dust, dogs, weather, a wrinkled brow and millennial sons are among the things they spoke of.
